Join our Production department as a Production Engineer at our Stonehouse site, Gloucestershire.
We are seeking a Production Engineer for Sartorius's Production department. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, managing the transfer of new products into manufacturing, and addressing production challenges on the shopfloor.

This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:10 to 16:10 or 7:55 to 16:55, and Friday from 7:10 to 12:10 or 7:55 to 12:55, rotating weekly.
Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for existing manufacturing processes daily.
- Lead new production introductions and transfers onto the site.
- Participate in all stages of the product lifecycle, including plastic part design, equipment selection, design and qualification, training, and production support.
- Implement process improvements to increase capacity and reduce scrap and costs.
- Manage projects and change control related to new technology, equipment, and process enhancements.
- Design manufacturing jigs and fixtures using CAD and coordinate with the Tool Room.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for quality investigations and regulatory audits.
- Support shopfloor continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and control process performance, generate KPIs, and prepare monthly reports.
- Maintain systems to ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO13485, and regulatory IVD requirements.
What Will Convince Us
- Completed engineering apprenticeship with relevant qualifications, HNC/HND, or degree in Engineering, Technical, or Science disciplines (beneficial).
- Experience in manufacturing/production within a regulated environment (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive, food, etc.).
- Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards (e.g., ISO).
- Familiarity with process improvement methods (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience in project management and working in global project teams.
- CAD and automation software knowledge (beneficial).
- Metrology knowledge and experience with measuring equipment (beneficial).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
