Production Engineer

Location: Deeside

Boccard has a 50-year track record in the nuclear energy sector and is a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance across the energy industry. To support our growth, we are seeking experienced Production Engineers for our new fully digital manufacturing plant in Deeside. This role involves improving efficiency and productivity in the BUK Fabrication facility, working closely with teams involved in fabricating structural steel and pipework components.

Key Responsibilities

1. Become familiar with the Boctrack management system to initiate Work Orders and troubleshoot issues.
2. Assist in planning production batches to meet targets.
3. Understand material and weld traceability and uphold quality standards.
4. Serve as a focal point for resolving shop floor queries during production.
5. Navigate and understand the document management system.
6. Promote a strong nuclear safety mindset and good health and safety practices.
7. Understand fabrication and design drawings, perform ad-hoc checks, and input data accurately.
8. Revise drawings and documents using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, following Change Management Procedures.
9. Assist in setting up steel pipework fabrication areas, ensuring LEAN workflows and efficiency.
10. Familiarize with the Technical Query system and apply Change Management throughout production.
11. Enhance engineering and welding knowledge for workshop improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Engineering or minimum HNC/HND qualification.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Strong IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a fabrication/manufacturing environment.
• Curious and problem-solving mindset.
