Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Production Engineer for our Oldbury site in the West Midlands. You will focus on improving day-to-day production performance, developing a safe, organized and efficient manufacturing environment, and supporting operator development.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will drive lean initiatives, waste reduction, and 5S, while collaborating with Operations, Technical teams and shop-floor staff to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Production Engineering.
• Experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Lean or Six Sigma training/accreditation would be advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• The confidence to work with production teams and support operator development.
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Operations Manager and Team Leaders to implement and maintain a 5S programme.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve workplace organisation and efficiency.
• Ensure Risk Assessments are in place across production processes and regularly reviewed.
• Support a strong Health & Safety culture across the site.
• Work alongside Production and Technical teams to provide operator training and employee development.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives.
• Improve operational efficiency and support the achievement of production targets.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to identify and implement practical improvements.

£42,500 per annum

39.5 hours per week

Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-4:45pm | Friday: 8:00am-1:30pm

The Role

About You
