My client, a market leader within aerospace manufacturing, is on the hunt for an experienced Production Engineer!

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role, you will drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency, utilization, and productivity using Lean Manufacturing techniques and NPI processes. You will play a key part in some exciting new projects on the horizon for the business!

Other responsibilities include:

• Reducing process variability, increasing product quality, and reducing costs in manufacturing processes through Lean Manufacturing and other relevant techniques.
• Continuously reviewing and monitoring Cell Layout to ensure the most efficient process flow. Managing any identified changes as required.
• Championing and managing specific improvement projects to deliver Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People Objectives.
• Conducting process capability and Value Stream Mapping studies to identify improvement opportunities in conjunction with quality engineers.

Experience or Qualifications –

• BSc or HNC in Mechanical / Production Engineering (ideally with an Aerospace background).
• Experience in designing tooling and fixtures for heading, forging, and machining operations.
• Experience with metal forming or metalworking processes.
• Proven examples of process improvement and capability in previous roles.
