Job summary

A leading design and manufacturing company in Guildford is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the development of electronic assemblies and manage costs associated with production. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manufacturing principles and experience within the Aerospace and Defence sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in surface mount and PCBA cleaning.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Aerospace & Defence experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing development and first-build of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Supporting engineering with manufacturability of new designs.
• Managing product costs from development through to production.
• Participating in MRB process, including root cause analysis.

My client is a leading design and manufacturing company specialising in power supplies and associated electronics systems for the Defence and Aerospace industries. They are currently looking for an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join their team based in Guildford.

Key responsibilities of the Electronics Manufacturing Engineer include:

1. Overseeing development and first-build of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies
2. Supporting Engineering with manufacturability of new designs and technology development
3. Managing product costs from development through to production
4. Participating in MRB process, including root cause analysis and corrective actions

Experience required:

1. Surface mount, PTH, PCBA cleaning and conformal coating
2. Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles
3. Aerospace & Defence experience (desirable)
