My client, a market leader within aerospace manufacturing, is looking for an experienced Production Engineer!

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role, you will drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency, utilization, and productivity using Lean Manufacturing techniques and NPI processes. You will be involved in exciting new projects for the business.

Other responsibilities include:

• Reducing process variability, increasing product quality, and reducing costs through Lean Manufacturing and other relevant techniques.
• Reviewing and monitoring Cell Layouts to ensure efficient process flow and managing changes as needed.
• Leading and managing improvement projects to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People objectives.
• Conducting process capability and Value Stream Mapping studies to identify improvement opportunities with quality engineers.

Experience or Qualifications –

• BSc or HNC in Mechanical or Production Engineering, preferably with an Aerospace background.
• Experience in designing tooling and fixtures for heading, forging, and machining operations.
• Experience with metal forming or metalworking processes.
• Proven track record of process improvement and capability in previous roles.
