My client, a market leader within aerospace manufacturing, is on the hunt for an experienced Production Engineer!

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role, you will drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency, utilisation, and productivity using Lean Manufacturing techniques and NPI processes. You will play a key part in exciting new projects for the business!

Other responsibilities include:

• Reducing process variability, increasing product quality, and lowering manufacturing costs through Lean Manufacturing and other relevant techniques.
• Reviewing and monitoring cell layout to ensure efficient process flow and managing changes as needed.
• Leading improvement projects to achieve quality, cost, delivery, and people objectives.
• Conducting process capability and value stream mapping studies to identify improvement opportunities in collaboration with quality engineers.

Experience or Qualifications –

• BSc or HNC in Mechanical or Production Engineering (preferably with aerospace background).
• Experience in designing tooling and fixtures for heading, forging, and machining operations.
• Experience with metal forming or metalworking processes.
• Proven track record of process improvement and capability in previous roles.
