Job summary

April Quest in Havant, UK, is seeking a Production Engineer to join a growing engineering team within a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This hands-on role focuses on resolving daily production issues and ensuring the production lines run smoothly.

You will maintain manufacturing documentation, support changes, and collaborate with Production, Process Engineering and Quality teams while contributing to continuous improvement and progression within the business.

Qualifications

  • A degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience in Production, Manufacturing or Process Engineering.
  • Experience in product manufacturing environments.
  • Confidence using basic hand tools.
  • Experience maintaining SOPs, work instructions or production documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Good computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve day-to-day production issues.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support across manufacturing.
  • Maintain SOPs, work instructions and process documentation.
  • Support engineering changes, production trials and validation activities.
  • Assemble or modify workstations, fixtures and production equipment.
  • Update technical files and manufacturing information.
  • Work closely with Production, Process Engineering and Quality teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and manufacturing projects.

This is a hands-on position focused on resolving day-to-day production issues, maintaining manufacturing documentation and ensuring production teams have the equipment and processes needed to work effectively.

  • Electronics, electromechanical assembly or PCB manufacturing experience.
  • Experience within a fast-paced or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Engineering change, production trial or validation experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement knowledge.
  • Experience modifying production workstations, fixtures or equipment.
