Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Configuration Coordinator to support the execution and documentation of engineering changes and product configuration updates within our manufacturing operations. This role is instrumental in ensuring that accurate product and process information flows smoothly from engineering to the shop floor, particularly during Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
The Configuration Coordinator will work closely with operations, procurement, and engineering teams to track, communicate, and help implement changes while maintaining up-to-date records in our systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the execution of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by coordinating updates to manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to communicate and implement changes on the production floor, helping to manage cut-in dates and material transitions.
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts by ensuring manufacturing readiness, including document release, revision control, and part setup in relevant systems.
- Track and document the status of ongoing configuration changes, providing regular updates to operations and project teams.
- Coordinate with document control and quality teams to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and internal process reviews by providing accurate and up-to-date configuration documentation.
- Serve as the Production Planning representative on all engineering change notice (ECN) related tasks
- Implements and communicates product changes within Warehouse Inventory Management System and tracks inventory consumption
- Collaborates with procurement on communicating change documents with suppliers
- Performs Engineering Change Notice risk assessment and impact analysis
- Drive all changes through lifecycle to closure.
Qualifications and Education:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing, technical, or administrative support role.
- 1–3 years of experience in a production, planning, document control, or configuration support position.
- Familiarity with ERP and/or PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Arena, Agile) and basic knowledge of BOM structures and revision control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with document management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across departments in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior Project Management Experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Jira Project Management software is a plus
