Hours: 37 per week

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Connected Car department within a leading luxury automotive manufacturer. As a Connected Car Change Coordinator, you will play a central role in coordinating and overseeing software change processes across complex systems, working closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and Group partners.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in IT or software change management who thrives on cross-functional coordination, stakeholder engagement, and process ownership. You will need critical thinking, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to driving operational change management within the automotive digital domain.

Key Responsibilities of the Connected Car Change Coordinator
  • Manage the end-to-end software change process within the Connected Car department, ensuring all changes are tracked, assessed, and delivered according to Group standards.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and Group partners, to gather approvals, assess risks, and communicate deployment timelines.
  • Chair and coordinate the Connected Car Change Approval Board, ensuring all changes are reviewed, approved, and documented effectively.
  • Attend Group deployment and change meetings to represent the department and support cross-functional alignment.
  • Maintain a change log and change statistics; publish and report change activity (planned/unplanned) to the wider business.
  • Support transition management by establishing and documenting operational processes and maintaining a list of standard changes.
  • Provide backup for Incident Management, supporting the wider operations team when required.
  • Evaluate the risk and impact of proposed changes, assisting in the preparation and submission of change requests across the Group toolset.
  • Coordinate with the App team for releases and updates, ensuring all changes are accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Maintain oversight of the Shared Connected Car Change mailbox and act as a key point of contact for change-related queries.
Key Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience in change management within an automotive or IT/software environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT change management processes, ideally aligned with ITIL principles.
  • Effective stakeholder and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and external partners.
  • Good digital literacy and confidence working with data and software tools.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA and familiarity with Group systems or similar environments.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Formal Change Management training or certifications are desirable.
