Job summary

Amazon in London is seeking a Security Engineer to embed with AWS Forward Deployed Engineering, securing production AI systems deployed in customer environments. You will design, review, and implement controls across AI/ML pipelines, with hands-on coding, threat modeling, and automation to protect complex AI deployments at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 2+ years threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, or security engineering experience.
• 2+ years troubleshooting systems, logs, and automation with command line tools.
• 2+ years scripting/programming and security code review in common languages.
• 2+ years identifying security issues and mitigating risks.
• 2+ years building AI/agentic systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assessments for production AI systems under senior guidance.
• Perform threat modeling and penetration testing for AI/ML apps in customer environments; fix vulnerabilities pre-release.
• Build and maintain security automation: scanners, CI/CD gates, guardrail tests, secrets detection, dependency checks.
• Implement security controls for AI threats: prompt injection prevention, data isolation, and model API hardening.
• Support incident response for production AI systems with root cause analysis and remediation guidance.
• Document findings and remediation playbooks for future engagements.
• Contribute to reusable security accelerator library and reference configurations.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
