Job summary

Owen Thomas | B Corp in London is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to own AI-driven backend solutions. You will design, build and deploy production-grade AI-powered applications, collaborating with stakeholders across engineering, product and business to solve real-world problems.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, strong backend foundations in Python (Django) and Go, and hands-on work with LLM-powered systems in production. Visa sponsorship and relocation support are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong backend experience with Python, ideally Django, or Go with Python focus.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered apps in production.
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, SQL, system design and performance.
• Experience taking ownership from discovery to production.
• Comfort working with non-technical stakeholders and translating needs into engineering solutions.
• Experience in a start-up or fast-paced product engineering environment.
• Product-minded with focus on measurable impact and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand problems and define AI-driven solutions.
• Design, build and scale backend services in Python, with Go as needed.
• Develop and deploy production-grade AI applications and agent workflows.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical designs.
• Build and improve APIs, data pipelines and asynchronous processing.
• Work on agent orchestration, retrieval systems and AI infrastructure.
• Own solutions from discovery through deployment, iteration and production.
• Measure impact and improve based on real-world usage.
