Job Title: Production Accountant

Our client, a successful business based in Southampton, has experienced rapid growth in the past 12 months and requires travel to their offices.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
2. Prepare and manage production budgets and forecasts.
3. Maintain accurate inventory accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
4. Generate cost reports and analyze variances against budgets.
5. Support month-end and year-end closing processes with relevant production entries.
6. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audits.
7. Monitor capital expenditures and asset depreciation.
8. Assist in cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
9. Use ERP systems for accurate data entry related to finance and production.
10. Reconcile supplier invoices with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
