Job summary

Recruit Mint Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks a Product Test Engineer to ensure mission-critical communications equipment performs to spec before customers see it. You will join an established manufacturer and a growing test team, carrying out performance testing on aviation and defence communication products.

You will test against project requirements and procedures, set up test equipment, document results, investigate failures, and feed improvements back into development.

Qualifications

• Experience in product test, verification or development test.
• Engineering qualification (HNC or higher) in electronic/electrical engineering.
• Methodical, detail-focused approach to testing and documentation.
• Ability to set up and use test equipment and follow procedures.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret specifications, drawings and test requirements.
• Clear communication within a small team.
• RF or communications equipment knowledge desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain UK Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out product performance testing to meet project requirements.
• Testing communications products in line with internal engineering and quality procedures.
• Verifying products against specification as part of a small development team.
• Setting up test equipment and carrying out structured, repeatable test procedures.
• Recording test results accurately and producing clear test documentation and reports.
• Investigating test failures and supporting fault diagnosis with the engineering team.
• Feeding findings and improvement opportunities back into the development process.
• Supporting the wider test and development activities of the team as workload requires.
