The Opportunity

Are you an ex-accountant with a knack for tech and a passion for transforming how practices operate? We're looking for a Product Specialist who can leverage their experience in practice to help shape our product roadmap and act as a subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the practice management product roadmap with clear ROI metrics. You'll be the mastermind behind our product's direction, ensuring every step we take is backed by solid returns.
  • Drive customer research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions. Regularly meet with internal stakeholders and users in practice to understand pain points, elicit requirements and gather feedback.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across Engineering, Sales, Support, and Partners. You'll be the glue that holds our teams together, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
  • Prioritise and maintain the product backlog aligned with business objectives. Keep our priorities straight and make sure we're always working on what matters most.
  • Collaborate with product owners and UX designersto ensure specs and designs are fit for purpose. Your keen eye for detail will ensure our product meets the highest standards.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy and product launches. Be the driving force behind our product's success in the market.
  • 12-month product roadmap with prioritised features and business cases. Lay out the path to our product's future success.
  • Market and competitor analysis reports. Provide insights that keep us competitive and informed.
  • Customer research insights and requirements documentation. Capture what our customers need and want.
  • Go-to-market execution plans. Ensure our product launches are smooth and successful.
  • Regular stakeholder communications and progress updates. Keep everyone in the loop with clear and consistent updates.
  • Product performance tracking and optimisation. Continuously improve our product based on performance data.

The Person

  • 3+ years of experience in product specialist or related role
  • Experience working in an accountancy practice with a solid understanding of practice management software is essential
  • Demonstrable experience implementing software within a practice with an appreciation of how integration across an accounting tech stack can enhance efficiency in practices.
  • Knowledge of agile software development practices is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt and remain agile in a dynamic environment.
