Job summary

Apollo Research is seeking a Product Security Engineer to make Watcher safe for enterprise deployment from London or San Francisco. You will own Watcher’s security posture, drive product security standards, and engage with customers on security matters.

You will partner with the Infra & Security team to align on roadmaps and priorities. Join a small, fast-moving team focused on defending AI agent deployments, building secure defaults, and communicating clearly about security tradeoffs with

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security roles with hands-on technical work.
• Engineering mindset: build solutions, automate, scale security.
• Direct experience in application/cloud/product security.
• Experience in a security vendor or security product company.
• Ability to work in a small, fast-moving team and switch contexts.
• Strong written communication for security content.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Watcher’s core security controls (IAM, cloud security, endpoint management, incident response).
• Establish secure practices and communicate security decisions to stakeholders.
• Evaluate vendors and security tooling; perform build-vs-buy analyses.
• Lead major security projects from ideation to rollout.
• Own security questionnaire responses, whitepapers, and incident communications.
• Collaborate with Infra & Security to shape Watcher’s security roadmap.
