Job description

The role of a Product Marketing Manager - IoT at Canonical

Canonical is seeking a Product Marketing Manager IoT responsible for developing marketing strategies and go-to-market plans globally for Canonical's IoT portfolio. This multi-disciplinary, hands-on role requires collaboration with Product, Engineering, Content, Sales, and other Marketing teams.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and its marketing, enjoys ownership of campaigns, collaboration, learning, curiosity, and continuous improvement. They are hands-on problem solvers who experiment, measure, and leverage automation to streamline processes.

This position reports to the Product Marketing Lead within the marketing team.

Location: This role is remote within the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing go-to-market planning and execution for Canonical's IoT products.
  2. Leading content dissemination, campaign development, and product launch planning.
  3. Developing compelling messaging and positioning that highlight business value and connect with target audiences throughout the buying journey.
  4. Creating customer communication and marketing programs to upsell and cross-sell to existing customers.
  5. Collaborating with demand generation teams, utilizing data and insights to optimize marketing strategies and funnels.
  6. Planning events, webinars, and supporting paid and social media promotions.
  7. Creating and publishing content aligned with marketing campaigns.
  8. Monitoring the competitive landscape to define product positioning that differentiates.

  • Strategic thinking for complex issues, leading to actionable recommendations.
