Job summary

IBM is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap and governance of a portfolio of IBM platforms within an enterprise transformation. The role requires coordinating with global teams and managing licensing and vendor relationships.

Based in the UK, you will drive the migration from Tivoli to Instana and work across engineering, architecture and technology teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading product strategy and roadmaps in an enterprise tech environment.
• Strong knowledge of IBM technologies, especially MQ, ACE and Tivoli.
• Experience managing governance, licensing, cost and vendor relationships.
• Experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes with global teams.

Job description

Sheffield or Birmingham - 3 days per week onsite. If based in Birmingham, at least 1 of the 3 days must be in Sheffield.

We're partnering with a leading financial services client to appoint an IBM Product Manager within their Enterprise Platform Integration function. This is a key role within a large-scale transformation programme, with responsibility for the strategy, roadmap and governance of a portfolio of IBM products, including IBM MQ, ACE and Tivoli, alongside supporting the transition from Tivoli to Instana.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop the product strategy and roadmap for IBM platforms
• Manage product governance, lifecycle and ongoing service improvement
• Lead vendor management and commercial relationships
• Oversee licensing, costs and contractual requirements
• Work closely with engineering, architecture and technology teams
• Support the migration from Tivoli to Instana
• Coordinate with large, globally distributed teams across multiple regions

Proven experience as a Product Manager within an enterprise technology environment

• Strong knowledge of IBM technologies, particularly MQ, ACE and Tivoli
• Experience managing technology roadmaps, governance and product strategy
• Strong vendor and licence management experience
• Experience working within large-scale transformation programmes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working with global, multi-disciplinary teams
