The Product Manager is responsible for maximizing the value of our products and the work of the engineering teams. As part of an agile team, they work directly with an engineering team and delivery manager. They are accountable for answering the questions: What products and features should we build and why, and how do we deliver these to market? This role reports to a Product Director or Group Product Manager.
Strategy and Vision:
- Collaborate in crafting your tribe’s strategy through deep market, customer, competitor, and technology research.
- Develop a product strategy and roadmap for your team based on company, tribe, and research insights.
- Secure buy-in for the product strategy from colleagues and stakeholders.
- Translate the strategy and customer problems into the product backlog for your team.
Discovery:
- Conduct discovery with clients to uncover potential problems and opportunities.
- Engage with customers and colleagues to ideate new features and products.
- Complete detailed discovery on systems like payment files, bank or operational flows, and develop technical documentation.
- Ensure requirements are detailed enough for sprint planning, including functional & non-functional requirements.
Delivery:
- Manage end-to-end product development, from planning to launch.
- Prioritize the product backlog based on customer, commercial, and strategic value.
- Collaborate with the agile delivery manager to monitor and improve team performance.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, providing clarity on priorities.
Adoption:
- Work with Product Marketing and GTM teams on go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
- Drive product adoption across regions and segments.
- Measure and communicate post-launch product performance and impact.

- High-velocity shipping of features that solve customer problems and create value.
- Consistent delivery with a deep understanding of product development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager in a software-first Fintech or tech startup.
- Comfortable with agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban, working across 1-2 teams.
- Skilled in defining product backlogs with categories like epics & user stories, making trade-offs and prioritization decisions.
- Experience crafting product visions based on discovery, research, and data analysis.
- Domain knowledge in Fintech (payments, FX, transaction banking, trading) is a strong plus.
- Self-starter with accountability and initiative.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Analytical, commercially savvy, and curious about operational processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a scale-up or growth environment.
