Job summary

Howden seeks a Product Governance Manager to drive regulatory compliance and positive customer outcomes across our product suite. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to embed governance practices, assess proposed products, and deliver training on regulatory processes.

You will translate complex rules into actionable controls, ensuring governance aligns with Consumer Duty, Fair Value and other regulatory expectations across the insurance broking business.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations for Product Governance, Consumer Duty and Fair Value assessments.
• Extensive experience in a compliance role (1st/2nd LOD) within Insurance Intermediary, Insurer or MGA.
• Knowledge of Commercial & Schemes products is a plus.
• Ability to build constructive relationships with business leaders and senior management.
• Commercial awareness and focus on applying regulation within the insurance broking industry.
• Broad knowledge of insurance principles, products and services.
• Excellent planning, organisational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in analysing complex data to derive insights.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Management and stakeholders to support regulatory compliance.
• Assist in the assessment and approval process for new products and changes through the Product Governance Committee.
• Embed product governance principles and practices across the business.
• Develop and deliver training on relevant governance processes.
• Serve as the primary contact for information requests, FVAs, product reviews/approvals and related activities as directed by Senior Management.
