Job summary

Howden invites applicants to join the Product Governance Apprenticeship Programme in London, starting September 2027. You’ll work in an 18‑month development programme while joining a permanent role from day one.

Location: London; salary: £23,000; you must live within a commutable distance and work in the office at least 3 days a week. No prior insurance experience is needed; training will cover product governance, FCA requirements, and data-driven product improvement.

Qualifications

• Curious, willing to ask questions and understand how insurance products work.
• Analytical and logical with an interest in data and patterns.
• Comfortable working with numbers, data and spreadsheets (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Join Product Governance and gradually take on more responsibility.
• Build knowledge of insurance products and regulatory requirements.
• Review information such as claims data, customer feedback, and complaints.
• Help compare product performance against regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate across broking, claims, insurers, risk and other teams.
