Job description

Join The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and help deliver innovative fundraising events that make a real difference for people affected by cancer. As part of our ambitious Public Fundraising team, you’ll play a key role in supporting life-saving research, treatment, and care at The Royal Marsden, helping us to achieve our goal of raising at least £215m over five years.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Project manage a portfolio of mass participation fundraising events, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and deadlines are met.
  • Develop and deliver excellent supporter communications to drive income and retention.
  • Work closely with Marketing to plan and execute campaigns for each event.
  • Evaluate event performance, recommend improvements, and ensure income targets are met.
  • Manage event budgets, provide regular reports, and implement contingency plans as needed.
  • Support the Senior Product Manager with flagship events such as The Banham Marsden March.
  • Contribute to annual business planning, agreeing objectives, KPIs, and milestones.
  • Build strong relationships across fundraising, marketing, hospital teams, and external suppliers.
  • Occasionally attend evening and weekend events to support fundraising activities.
  • Ensure donor records are accurate and GDPR compliant.
  • Strive for value for money and greater efficiency in all activities.
