Job Title: Product Consultant (Schedule of Rates)

Reports to: Head of Consultancy

Location: Reigate, Surrey (hybrid working possible)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, Flexible

The Company

Rand Associates provides surveying services, consultancy, and software products to the social housing sector. Our clients include housing associations, local authorities, building contractors and consultants.

We have offices in Reigate, Surrey and Birkenhead, Wirral.

We are part of the M3 Housing group of companies. M3 publish the M3NHF Schedule of Rates and a range of associated products used for property maintenance, including M3Central, M3Vision and M3Pamwin.

The Role

We generate implementation, training and consultancy work around our flagship product, the M3NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR) and associated documentation. Rand Associates therefore needs experts to do the following:

• Carry out training and consultancy on the use of the product.

• Assist with the development and interrogation of the product.

• Providing technical and product support to clients and colleagues.

• Provide support to the rest of the business and our M3 colleagues:

o for sales demos

o for second line support

o for product documentation

o for user events

Training

• Deliver standard training sessions onsite and online, to a variety of users including managers, operatives and contact centre staff. Standard training sessions include:

o How to use the SOR documentation

o How to utilise the Measurement Preambles effectively

o Understanding what is deemed included in the base rates

• Develop and deliver bespoke training to address specific client needs.

• Create and maintain training materials, including videos.

Consultancy

• Analysis of client historic works order data to ascertain correct usage of the SOR.

• Report on and present findings of analysis to client stakeholders.

• Supporting clients in the calculation of adjustments applied to the base rates.

• Advise clients on best practice implementation.

• Conduct effective workshops between external stakeholders and subject matter experts.

• Prepare and deliver sessions at user events.

Product Support

• Handle second-line technical queries, helping clients interpret the SOR documentation.

• Developing new SOR items, including researching materials/technologies and their methods of maintenance.

• Ongoing review of the existing library of SOR items to help maintain the quality and integrity of the product.

The Candidate

You will be a key member of the team helping to provide support to the large client base using the M3NHF SOR products. This will involve working closely with key internal and external stakeholders so excellent communication, both written and verbal are essential. Essential Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in product training, consultation, or client-facing roles.

• Strong presentation skills, both in small and large group settings.

• Proficient in Excel analysis and data manipulation.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in social housing or housing maintenance.

• Experience in using the M3NHF Schedule of Rates in some capacity.

• Quantity or Building Surveying background.

Summary of Terms

Starting Salary: £32,000-£40,000 depending on skills and experience

Hours: 37.5 per week, flexible hours offered

Holidays: 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Probationary period: 6 months

Notice period: One month (one week during probation period)
