Job description

We're Civica, and we create software that helps deliver critical services for citizens all around the world. From local government, to education, health, and care, over 5,000 public bodies across the globe use our software to provide essential services to over 100 million citizens.

Our aspiration is to be a GovTech champion everywhere we work, supporting the needs of citizens and those who serve them every day. Building on 21 years of continuous growth and success, we're at a pivotal point in our journey to realise that aspiration.

Why you will love this opportunity as Product Analytics Manager at Civica

Help shape how data informs product decisions across an organisation that serves over 100 million citizens worldwide. You'll lead the development of Civica's product analytics capability, creating robust data foundations, defining success metrics, and delivering insights that influence product design, customer outcomes, and commercial growth.

This is your opportunity to build a best-in-class analytics function that combines strategic insight with technical rigour, empowering Civica's product teams to make evidence-based decisions that directly impact public services around the world.

What you will do to be successful in this role
Product Analytics Leadership
  • Develop and execute the product analytics strategy, aligning metrics and insights with Civica's business and product objectives.
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to define KPIs for feature adoption, user engagement, and customer success.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform product roadmaps, pricing strategy, and market positioning.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation and continuous learning, enabling product teams to test hypotheses and measure impact.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers using Aha! to ensure analytics aligns with roadmap priorities and customer value.
Technical Analytics Implementation
  • Define and oversee data tracking in collaboration with engineering teams, ensuring reliable event collection across web and mobile products.
  • Work hands‑on with SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to analyse large datasets and produce self‑service reporting frameworks.
  • Use data from Pendo to measure user engagement, feature adoption, in‑app feedback, and product experience metrics across SaaS products.
  • Collaborate with engineering on GitHub to review tracking specifications, data layer changes, and instrumentation code.
Experimentation & Advanced Analytics
  • Apply quantitative methods to identify growth opportunities, measure feature impact, and guide investment decisions.
  • Build a view on how and where we could leverage predictive models or machine learning to drive insights in product analytics.
  • Automate recurring analyses and dashboards to support both real‑time decision‑making and Exec level visibility.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to define analytics goals that support company OKRs and customer outcomes.
  • Coach and mentor teams on using analytics tools, interpreting data, and embedding a data‑first mindset in product development.
  • Communicate insights clearly and persuasively to executives, ensuring analytics drives tangible business action.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Product Analytics Manager, Senior Product Analyst, or Data Analytics Lead within a SaaS or technology‑driven organisation.
  • Data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with Product analytics platforms
  • Statistical analysis experience
  • Experience integrating analytics tools with Aha! for roadmap insights, Figma for design analytics, and GitHub for event tracking collaboration.
  • Hands‑on experience designing and implementing analytics for web and mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of how to pull together user segmentation, retention analysis, and funnel optimisation data.
  • Ability to balance strategic insight with analytical depth — from building dashboards to influencing executive decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
  • Knowledge of AI‑driven analytics and predictive modelling is an advantage.
