Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Solihull/Derby is seeking a Producibility Engineer (Component Design Engineer) to drive design robustness for control system units within the Engineering Delivery Team. The role combines design, manufacturing readiness and lifecycle considerations across OE and MRO operations, with a hybrid working pattern.

You will develop automated workflows, apply Systems Engineering and xFMEA methods, ensure conformance to RRMS, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design methods and cross-disciplinary concepts.
• Ability to apply analytical and innovative thinking to technical problems.
• Knowledge of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design solutions for component assemblies with emphasis on safety, manufacturability, cost and weight.
• Define requirements for manufacturing, customers and partners.
• Create and use automated toolsets and workflows for design tasks.
• Apply Systems Engineering and Robust Design to ensure right-first-time outcomes.
• Plan and manage external design work and life-cycle profitability.
