Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Solihull/Derby is seeking a Producibility Engineer (Component Design Engineer) within the Controls Lifecycle Engineering team. You will deliver design solutions for components and complex assemblies, ensuring safety, manufacturability, cost and lifecycle performance.

The role involves collaborating in an Integrated Project Team, creating automated workflows, and supporting OE and MRO operations, while maintaining data integrity across the design lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering required or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and innovative thinking on technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of design solutions for component and complex unit assemblies, considering safety, manufacturability, cost, lifecycle, weight and maintainability.
• Create and use automated/workflow tools and engage in design to meet stakeholder requirements (manufacturing, customers, airframers, etc).
• Plan, manage external designs with design service providers or suppliers for complete devices leading to approval of designs and documents.
• Manage product configuration and data integrity through the lifecycle.
