Rolls-Royce is seeking a Producibility Engineer (Component Design Engineer) in the Controls Lifecycle Engineering domain, based in Derby/Solihull with hybrid working options. The role focuses on delivering design solutions for control system units and supporting OE and MRO operations, ensuring quality, manufacturability and lifecycle profitability.

You will participate in an Integrated Project Team and apply Systems Engineering and Lean principles to achieve right-first-time, zero-defects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or MSc in Engineering or regional equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Delivery of design solutions for components and complex unit assemblies with safety, manufacturability, cost, and lifecycle considerations.
• Define and communicate requirements to manufacturing, customers, airframers and partners.
• Create and apply automated workflows and measurement definitions for repeatable designs.
• Ensure zero defects through analysis of requirements and process capability.
• Apply lean principles, Robust Design, Systems Engineering, risk management and design-in-context.
• Perform dimensioning analyses and prepare technical documents to comply with RRMS policies.
• Manage external designs via suppliers with design and manufacture packages for approval.
