Job summary

Forth Ports is seeking a Procurement Team Lead to steer the procurement function across the Scottish operation, including supplier management, contract negotiation, and spend analysis. The role reports to the Head of Procurement and Supplier Sustainability – Scottish Operation and requires leadership of the procurement team to drive cost-effective, compliant procurement aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Category Lead level experience in procurement or supply chain.
• CIPS qualification or actively working towards certification.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong decision-making with the ability to analyse information.
• Excellent communication and negotiation at all levels.
• Ability to build relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full UK working rights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts for value and service.
• Analyse P2P data to identify cost savings and efficiencies across the Scottish Operation.
• Ensure procurement activity complies with laws, health and safety, and internal policies.
• Coordinate regular team meetings and training to review workload and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance service delivery and procurement performance.
• Identify training needs and support development opportunities for the team.
• Support Head of Procurement and Supplier Sustainability and act as deputy when required.
