A £multi-million global manufacturing leader in North Manchester is seeking a driven, ambitious and experienced people leader to join their successful team. Due to promotions, this has created a new opportunity within the structure to join the team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
The Procurement Support Team has a responsibility for providing day-to-day support to the wider procurement department, involving updating the SAP system with procurement data, setting up suppliers, handling invoice queries, and providing market data to stakeholders. The team also evaluates and presents purchasing data for tendering and manages routine price requests.
As the Procurement Support Team Leader, you will lead and manage this team, currently comprising 6 members across 2 sites. You will be the escalation point for queries and accountable for the team's support to the Procurement department. Your responsibilities include setting KPIs aligned with company objectives, managing performance and development, and working closely with stakeholders to improve service quality. You will also assist operationally during team absences.
Since this role involves managing a team across two sites, travel to mainland Europe will be required.
