Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a driven and registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Procurement Team at Whiston Hospital. You will support purchasing of pharmaceuticals and Homecare services and contribute to efficient service delivery.

You will assist in training Pharmacy colleagues, developing JAC reports, and acting as Accredited Checking Technician as part of a 7-day rota. The role requires AFC Band 5 and current GPhC registration.

Qualifications

• GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician with current status.
• BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy services or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist with purchasing of pharmaceuticals and Homecare service.
• Develop training for Pharmacy colleagues and other Trust healthcare professionals.
• Develop reports from the JAC system and administer the JAC system.
• Supervise and educate trainees in Purchasing and Homecare.
• Act as Accredited Checking Technician within the dispensary on a rota.
• Participate in the department rota to provide a 7-day service.
