Job summary

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join the Homecare and Procurement team. The role supports daily management, governance, and staff development while ensuring safe, timely delivery of homecare medicines and accurate procurement processes.

The post involves dispensary support, ward preparation for treatments, and collaboration with procurement to minimise shortages. Weekend/bank holiday rota is required.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Pharmacy Technician to NVQ Level 3, BTEC Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent.
• Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Recent hospital pharmacy procurement/homecare experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day workload of the pharmacy homecare and procurement teams.
• Supervise staff within the homecare team.
• Implement new processes for procurement and homecare teams.
• Suggest improvements and service developments within the teams.
• Provide quality feedback and maintain data accuracy.
• Assist in recruiting staff for procurement, homecare and pharmacy stores.
