Job summary

Glasgow Heavy Civils in Glasgow is seeking a motivated Procurement Manager to oversee end-to-end subcontract and materials procurement for major energy and power projects. You will lead procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and drive value across the programme.

The role offers hybrid working (2–3 days in the office, 2–3 days at home) with a base salary of £70,000 plus car or allowance and bonus. Commitment to delivery in a large infrastructure framework is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager in construction/infrastructure.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple projects.
• Eligible to work in the UK and within commuting distance of Glasgow.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end subcontract and materials procurement processes, ensuring best value and alignment with programme requirements.
• Lead procurement activities including EOI, PQQ, ITT, contractor scoring, and contract awards.
• Work directly with the client on project pipelines and future procurement strategies.
• Own and update procurement schedules, reporting accurately on buying gains and losses.
• Lead a small team of Senior Buyers / Buyers who will manage day-to-day project activities.
• Support work-winning efforts through tender inputs, procurement strategies, supplier selection, and relevant meetings.
