Job summary

Henderson Brown Recruitment is seeking a Procurement Manager in the West Midlands region. The role combines ownership of distribution and foodservice procurement with strategic category management and supplier negotiations.

The position offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days remote), a competitive salary up to £60,000 plus a £6,000 car allowance, and a 5% matched pension. Previous line management experience is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant procurement, foodservice procurement or distribution would be ideal, along with knowledge of food and beverage sourcing.
• Category and industry background are open; direct or indirect experience considered.
• People management is an advantage but not essential.

The Opportunity

We're supporting a large, well-established multi-site business with the appointment of a Procurement Manager within its procurement team.

• Negotiate with suppliers and distribution partners on cost, service and terms.
• Own category budgets and reforecast monthly, tracking market pricing against contract.
• Build senior-level supplier relationships with clear performance targets.
• Line manage and develop a Buyer.

What We're Looking For

Experience in restaurant procurement, foodservice procurement or distribution would be ideal, along with knowledge of food and beverage sourcing.

That said, category and industry background are open, direct or indirect. What matters most is adaptability, the ability to juggle several priorities, and building excellent supplier relationships.

The business will consider established Procurement Managers and high-calibre Senior Buyers ready to step up. Previous people management is an advantage but not essential.
