Job summary

Henderson Brown Recruitment is seeking a Procurement Manager for a multi-category function in the West Midlands. The role is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days remote, and reports as deputy to the Head of Procurement, overseeing a Buyer and supporting leadership of the wider team.

You'll own a broad spend portfolio (£30m-£100m) across direct or indirect categories, with a focus on strategy, supplier relations, and cross-functional projects.

The Opportunity

We're supporting a large, well-established multi-site business with the appointment of a Procurement Manager within its procurement team.

You'll own a broad portfolio across a range of categories, typically worth £30m-£100m in spend. The business is open on whether your background is in direct or indirect procurement.

This role is the Head of Procurement's second in command. You'll support them across the function, manage a Buyer of your own and, at times, help lead the wider team.

What We're Looking For

You’ll have proven end-to-end procurement experience, including category strategy, negotiation and supplier management.

Category and industry background are open, direct or indirect, and you don't need to come from any particular sector. What matters most is adaptability, the ability to juggle several priorities, and building excellent supplier relationships. This is a busy, varied environment rather than one where everything is already in its place.

People management experience is an advantage, but they're open to someone ready for their first direct report.
