Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Procurement Manager to work with the Energy Team on the ETP Project, initially based in Cannock, with travel to sites in South Wales. You will deliver essential procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate with the Head of Procurement – Energy to support energy transition projects.

The role requires experience in technical procurement, knowledge of mechanical equipment, and a proven ability to manage subcontract packages and project timelines

Qualifications

• MCIPS or similar qualification preferred.
• Experience in technical procurement with mechanical equipment.
• Experience with subcontract procurement.
• Experience in project-based construction/engineering procurement or commercial role.
• Commercially astute.

Responsibilities

• Deliver procurement of key materials and subcontract packages for energy projects (e.g., pipelines, compressor stations, AGIs).
• Develop and execute supply chain strategy and procurement schedules.
• Evaluate bids and manage supplier relationships; draft Invitations to Tender.
• Negotiate terms and manage expediting, QA, and delivery to site.
• Travel to project sites; coordinate between regional office and sites.
