Job summary

J Murphy & Sons is recruiting a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery on the ETP Project, Aberthaw (South of Cardiff) or Llandyfaelog (between Carmarthen and Llanelli). The role involves managing all commercial aspects, cost/value reconciliations, contract changes, risk management and procurement, with a client co-located office in Bristol/Cardiff.

You will support the Project Director and commercial team, applying NEC knowledge and driving cash optimisation to maximise project

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience in civil engineering/construction projects.
• Deep knowledge of NEC and other standard forms of contract.
• Strong understanding of project controls and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of the Project and liaise with stakeholders.
• Conduct monthly cost and value reconciliation reviews.
• Handle contract changes, variations, and claims and monitor early warning process.
• Maintain project risk register and ensure timely mitigations.
• Support the project commercial team daily and oversee procurement.
• Optimise cashflow and manage WIP, cost control and final margin.
