Rise Resourcing is recruiting an experienced Procurement Manager or Buyer for a growing grocery retailer's own brand division. You will lead the buying strategy to drive growth in sales and profitability.

Responsibilities include end-to-end sourcing for own brand categories, building supplier relationships, analysing cost drivers, negotiating price changes, and working with internal teams to maintain quality and service, as well as presenting trends to senior management.

Qualifications

• Proven buying/procurement/sourcing experience in FMCG/food.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced retail market.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Proficient in MS Office.

• Own end-to-end commercial & sourcing strategy for own-brand categories.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Understand cost drivers and identify improvement opportunities.

• Maintain supplier service levels and coordinate with internal teams.
• Identify new suppliers to strengthen commercial offers.
• Analyse sales to plan future lines with the own-brand team.

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager or Buyer to join a successful grocery retailer within their growing team private label team

You will be responsible for driving the buying strategy to ensure the growth in both sales & profitability while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued development within the own brand department.

• Take full end to end ownership of the commercial & sourcing strategy for own brand categories
• Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
• Understand key cost drivers (and impacts) within your category and continuously identify opportunities for improvement
• Full responsibility of negotiation of cost price increases and ensuring timelines are communicated throughout the process.
• Maintain outstanding levels of supplier service and work seamlessly with internal departments to resolve and issues promptly.
• Always seeking new suppliers to deliver a stronger commercial offer than current suppliers, or to supply new / alternate products and categories to the business
• Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines with the own brand team.
• Working closely with the new product development teams to maintain quality levels within products.
• Presenting reports, figures and trend information to the Senior Management team

Key requirements for the role;

• Proven previous Buying / Procurement / Sourcing experience within a fast-moving FMCG / Food environment.
• Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
• Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing retail market.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
• Excellent understanding of all MS Office products.
