Job summary

Rise Resourcing is looking for an experienced Buyer to drive the buying strategy for BWS categories within a growing retailer. You will own the end-to-end commercial and trading strategy, build strong supplier relationships, and work with internal teams to deliver growth in sales and profitability.

You will analyse sales figures, present trends to the Senior Management team, and continuously seek new suppliers to strengthen the commercial offer in a fast-moving retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven buying experience in FMCG environment.
• BWS experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills across levels.
• MS Office proficiency.

• Own end-to-end commercial & trading strategy for BWS categories.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure supplier service levels and cross-department collaboration.
• Sourcing new suppliers to strengthen commercial offers.
• Analyze sales to plan future lines with brand teams.
• Present reports and trend information to Senior Management.

Job description

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a successful retailer within their growing team.

You will be responsible for driving the Buying strategy to ensure the growth in both sales & profitability while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued development within the impulse category.

• Take full end to end ownership of the commercial & trading strategy for BWS categories
• Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
• Maintain outstanding levels of supplier service and work seamlessly with internal departments to resolve and issues promptly.
• Always seeking new suppliers to deliver a stronger commercial offer than current suppliers, or to supply new / alternate products and categories to the business
• Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines with the own brand team.
• Presenting reports, figures and trend information to the Senior Management team

Key requirements for the role;

• Proven previous Buying experience within a fast-moving FMCG environment. BWS experience preferred but not essential
• Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
• Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing retail market.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
• Excellent understanding of all MS Office products.
