Job summary

Benenden Health is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager in York on a hybrid basis, two days a week in the office. The role focuses on strategic supplier relationships, category management and delivering commercial value.

You will lead end-to-end procurement across diverse spend, partnering with senior leaders to shape sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier agreements and advise on market analysis and contract management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Procurement Manager, Category Manager or Senior Buyer role.
• Ability to influence decision-making and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven experience leading complex, high-value procurement projects.
• Experience delivering savings, benefits realisation and commercial outcomes.
• CIPS qualification desirable but not essential.

Job description

Role: Procurement Manager

Location: York (Hybrid working, 2 days a week in the office)

Salary: £56,500 + Bonus

As Benenden Health continues to grow and evolve, we're looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to help shape the strategic decisions, supplier relationships and commercial outcomes that will support our future ambitions.

This isn't a transactional purchasing role. You'll work across a diverse range of categories, partnering with stakeholders at every level of the organisation, including senior leaders, to deliver procurement solutions that drive value, manage risk and support business growth.

With exposure across the organisation, you'll lead complex procurement activity, influence key decisions and provide expert commercial advice throughout the sourcing lifecycle. Working closely with our Commercial Solicitors, you'll negotiate supplier agreements, develop robust contracts and help ensure the best outcomes for the business and our members.
