• Procurement experience preferred, not essential NHS/public sector experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manages allocated procurement categories and projects with agreed timescales.
• Identify and achieve potential cash releasing savings through benchmarking, market testing, standardisation, and negotiation.
• Add value and ensure probity through contract compliance and proactive supplier/contract management.
• Lead and manage tenders and contracts to achieve best value within agreed timescales.
• Analyse financial implications of contract awards and report to budget holders.
