Job summary

City Site Solutions Ltd, based in Oxfordshire, is seeking a Procurement Assistant to join our family-run main contractor. You will source materials for high-end residential new-builds and refurbishments, obtain supplier quotes and manage lead times to ensure timely deliveries.

You will work closely with company directors and site teams, developing knowledge of bespoke finishes and specialist materials, while building long-term relationships with trusted suppliers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or materials sourcing, ideally within construction.
• Understanding of construction materials, finishes and supplier markets.
• Appreciation for quality, attention to detail and bespoke specifications within high-end residential projects.
• Strong communication, organisation and negotiation skills.
• Proactive approach, with the confidence to liaise directly with company directors and suppliers.
• A desire to learn, develop and build a long-term career within a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and purchasing materials for high-end residential new-build and refurbishment projects.
• Identifying suitable suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations.
• Sourcing bespoke materials, specialist products and high-quality finishes to meet project specifications.
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, site teams and company directors.
• Monitoring orders, deliveries and lead times to ensure materials arrive when required.
• Maintaining strong supplier relationships and identifying opportunities to improve value without compromising quality.
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities.
