City Site Solutions Ltd in Oxfordshire is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its family-run commercial team on high-end residential projects. You will support procurement, cost control and final accounts, gaining hands-on experience from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant or Trainee Quantity Surveyor role in construction.
• Understanding of cost control and commercial management.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with commercial management of high-end residential projects.
• Supporting preparation and management of budgets, cost plans and reports.
• Assisting with subcontractor procurement, tender enquiries and quotation analysis.
• Preparing and evaluating valuations, variations and applications for payment.
• Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks.
• Assisting with subcontractor payments and final accounts.
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and directors.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records to support financial delivery.
