Job summary

Peaple Talent Ltd in Oxford is seeking a Procurement Lead to own purchasing, supplier performance and inventory planning across the business. The role focuses on ensuring materials are available when needed while driving improved supplier performance, forecasting and cost control.

You will lead day-to-day procurement activities, manage supplier relationships and own MRP planning, purchasing and stock control, with a strong emphasis on cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous procurement or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP systems, forecasting and stock management.
• Experience managing suppliers and negotiating pricing and delivery performance.
• Confident analysing procurement data and driving improvements.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

An established manufacturer in Oxford is looking for a Procurement Lead to take ownership of purchasing, supplier performance and inventory planning across the business.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys improving procurement processes and making sure materials are available when needed, while driving better supplier performance, forecasting and cost control.

The Role

You'll be responsible for ensuring the business is buying the right materials, at the right price, from the right suppliers, while maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting production.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading day-to-day procurement activities for the manufacturing site.
• Managing supplier relationships, pricing and performance.
• Owning MRP planning, purchasing and inventory control.
• Improving demand forecasting and material availability.
