Overview

Procurement Director at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS), based in London. CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. The role leads strategic sourcing of services and supplies for a client across facility management service lines, engaging with CBRE and Client teams to drive best practice and ensure CBRE interests are represented.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, communicate, and manage the execution of global sourcing and procurement strategies to achieve account, platform, and client goals and objectives.
  • Support the Managing Director and Business Unit Leaders in managing annual procurement budget and supplier base of vendors.
  • Coordinate, deploy, and lead a professional sourcing team to support FM/PJM services delivery across regions for the client.
  • Implement and optimize CBRE procurement technology platforms.
  • Analyze commodity and service requirements for a real estate portfolio; create requests for proposals (RFPs), review bids, create contracts, negotiate terms, and implement services.
  • Analyze and review organization requirements regarding goods, services, supplies, equipment, etc.; establish long-term and strategic procurement planning objectives.
  • Oversee supplier certification process with Compliance, including review of experience, legal and organizational structure, financial strength, and Master Services Agreement deliverables under Sourcing.
  • Ensure applicable platform and client supply chain policies, processes, and procedures for procuring services are deployed globally.
  • Assist in developing and deploying standardized systems and controls for procurement (e.g., work authorization, purchase, and change order systems).
  • Provide comprehensive bid analysis and award recommendations; interface with stakeholders to explore leverage opportunities and ensure contractual/legal compliance and auditing standards.
  • Participate in significant contract negotiations and provide benchmarking insights.
  • Establish requirements and maintain centralized filing systems and procurement database; audit systems to ensure policy and documentation compliance.
  • Develop and implement a standardized program management execution methodology and secure competitive pricing across a broad geography; integrate regional supplier performance management into a global process.
  • Establish and maintain solid customer relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing ongoing two-way communications on satisfaction, concerns, input, and updates.
  • Support corporate global sourcing initiatives and processes; track, report, and implement strategies to address diversity spend objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in leading procurement strategies within the Facilities Management sector (preferred).
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents; effective in responding to sensitive issues; capable of writing reports and presentations; able to present on complex topics to employees, clients, top management, and public groups.
  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to drive action.
  • Strong financial acumen: knowledge of financial terms, budgeting, and conducting financial/business analysis; ability to forecast and prepare budgets.
  • Ability to solve advanced problems and manage multiple options in complex situations; expert analytical and quantitative skills with experience in strategic solutions for a matrix-based multi-industry sales environment; ability to influence through analysis.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with e-procurement and contracts management technology platforms; experience with standard accounting and/or ERP systems.
