Job Description:

TRS Staffing Solutions has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement & Commercial Manager with Quantity Surveyor experience.

The role involves managing procurement and post-contract commercial requirements relevant to the Renewables business area.

You will demonstrate leadership, customer service, and innovation to support the vision of becoming a world-class provider of Procurement and Commercial services, and to reduce the total cost of ownership by achieving set targets.

The Role
  • Reporting to the Senior Procurement & Commercial Manager, you are expected to be a senior commercial practitioner with a professional, dynamic, and agile approach to ensure the successful commercial delivery of large onshore capital projects, covering all procurement and commercial activities from development to execution.
  • Developing robust pricing assumptions and delivering commercially led solutions to enhance business case opportunities for the Renewables Business.
  • Developing strong commercial and contracting strategies, then executing end-to-end procurement activities to meet the needs of the Renewables business, while complying with policies and procedures.
  • Engaging regularly with Category Managers and the Head of Procurement & Commercial Shared Services to ensure effective and coordinated service delivery.
  • Undertaking strategic relationship management, working with stakeholders and bid teams to optimize key supplier relationships.
Your Profile
  • FRICS/MRICS / Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience delivering large onshore capital projects (£1bn plus) in the UK using FIDIC and NEC contracts, with the ability to influence, lead, and resolve disputes.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time in the commercial aspects across civils & M&E, pre and post-contract phases.
  • Understanding of markets, support contracts, regions, commodities, and services relevant to Renewables.
  • Experience in procuring, negotiating, managing contracts and risks, and overseeing suppliers and sub-contractors.
