Job summary

St. James’s Place is seeking an entry-level Procurement Category Coordinator to help shape how we buy services across the business.

Working with experienced managers, you'll gain hands-on experience in sourcing projects, supplier collaboration, spend analysis, and commercial decision making. Based in Cirencester with a hybrid working pattern, this 9-month fixed-term contract offers development opportunities, training, and exposure to a broad range of categories including HR, Marketing,

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in procurement, business, finance, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing and supplier management.
• Interest in pursuing a CIPS qualification.
• Experience with data analysis, research, or presenting recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing and procurement projects across services and indirect spend.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and sourcing approaches.
• Conduct market research and spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with supplier selection, RFx processes, and supplier evaluations.
• Support contract renewals and supplier management activities.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance and service levels.
• Support supplier risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and reporting.
• Learn and apply procurement best practices and governance.
