Job summary

The General Dental Council is seeking a Procurement Category Manager / Business Partner to drive value in procurement activities. You will manage procurement processes, negotiate and monitor contracts, identify efficiency savings and ensure policy compliance.

You will work closely with Finance, IT, Information Governance, People Services and Legal to provide procurement expertise. We value an agile, innovative mindset and a track record of achieving targets.

Qualifications

• Business partnering approach to procurement with a customer focus.
• Targets/objectives achieved in procurement roles.
• Knowledge of best practice developments in procurement and sourcing.
• CIPS qualification or working towards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts.
