Job summary

The Hyde Group is seeking an Assistant Category Manager for our London Bridge team. The role involves supporting procurement strategies to secure value for money and ensure compliance with public procurement requirements, while embedding social value and sustainability across purchasing activity.

You will manage tender processes, analyze market and spend data, and build strong stakeholder relationships to deliver end-to-end category plans. Hybrid working options are available.

Assistant Category Manager London Bridge

£45,000 to £49,000, depending on experience

As an Assistant Category Manager at Hyde, you will support the development and delivery of effective procurement strategies that secure value for money, meet public procurement requirements and strengthen supplier performance. You will manage procurement exercises, use market and spend analysis to inform decisions, and help embed social value, sustainability and ethical sourcing across our purchasing activity.

Key Duties

• Support the development and implementation of category strategies through market research, spend analysis and category planning.
• Manage end-to-end procurement exercises, including tender preparation, market engagement, evaluation and contract award.
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, providing procurement and contract management advice.
• Monitor supplier performance, procurement savings, contract compliance and risk, escalating issues where necessary.
• Embed social value, sustainability, ethical sourcing and supplier diversity into procurement activity and reporting.
