Job summary

ScaleX™ Talent Solutions is partnering with a Chippenham-based engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Procurement Assistant. You will raise, issue and track purchase orders, liaise with suppliers and ensure materials arrive on time for production.

Around 1–2 years in purchasing or supply chain, good Excel skills, and an organised, proactive approach are important. There is a clear path to becoming a Buyer, with training and development provided.

Qualifications

• Around 1-2 years' experience within purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory or a similar administrative role.
• Manufacturing or engineering experience would be a bonus.
• Good Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Raising, issuing and tracking purchase orders
• Liaising with suppliers and chasing delivery dates
• Helping ensure materials arrive on time for production
• Requesting and comparing supplier quotations
• Maintaining supplier information, pricing and lead times
• Supporting stock and inventory management
• Resolving discrepancies between purchase orders, deliveries and invoices
• Working closely with production, engineering, stores and finance
• Supporting supplier performance and procurement reporting

We're working with an innovative organisation in Chippenham who are looking for a Procurement Assistant to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with some experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory or administration who wants to develop their skills and progress towards becoming a Buyer.

What you'll be doing:
