Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd is seeking a Procurement and Projects Manager in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, to lead end-to-end procurement in a food manufacturing environment, sourcing raw materials and packaging while negotiating supplier contracts and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

You will manage supplier relationships, monitor KPIs, deliver cost savings, and coordinate with production and logistics to maintain supply continuity in an on-site role with a salary up to £65,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) desirable.
• Experience in procurement within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Sourcing: Develop strategies, source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and SLAs.
• Supplier Management: Build relationships, monitor KPIs, conduct supplier reviews and audits.
• Cost Management: Identify cost-saving initiatives, monitor markets and manage budgets.
• Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure suppliers meet HACCP, BRC, ISO; maintain traceability; support audits.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Align with production and logistics to ensure material availability and manage inventory.

Procurement and Projects Manager

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 (One hour lunch unpaid)

The Procurement and Projects Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement function within a food manufacturing environment. This includes sourcing raw materials and packaging, negotiating supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and delivering cost efficiencies while maintaining product quality and supply continuity.

Duties:

Procurement & Sourcing

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements to achieve best value

Supplier Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs (quality, cost, delivery)
• Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits

Cost Management

• Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety
• Monitor commodity markets and manage price fluctuations
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts

Food Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all suppliers meet relevant food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC, ISO)
• Maintain full traceability of materials in line with regulatory requirements
• Support internal and external audits

Supply Chain Coordination

• Work closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure material availability
• Manage inventory levels, minimising waste and avoiding stockouts
• Oversee supplier lead times and delivery schedules

Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., supplier dependency, disruptions)
• Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies
